If your screen is displaying an error message, please copy and paste the message into the email to enable us to fix the problem. Can I use the Christian Friends section to make new friends, even though I am not single? The Christian Friends section is for everyone. Although many of the Christian Friends members are single, there are also quite a few who are not, and simply looking to make some Christian friends. We suggest that when you do your profile, you make mention in your description that you are happily married (or in a relationship) and looking to find some new Christian friends, regardless of gender. This way people searching know what you are looking for ie: not a relationship but a friendship. We are in the process of planning an upgrade to the web site, which will include a facility to be able to search for either a friendship or relationship, however we are waiting on more funding before we can do this. ESTAMPS What is an eStamp? An eStamp gives you the ability to contact other Christian Friends members via our messaging system. Just like a letter, every message you send requires a stamp. But don't worry about the reply - each message includes a free return eStamp, so the member you've contacted can reply without using his/her own eStamps. Where do I purchase eStamps? Go to www.christiansonline.com.au and log in using your Log In and Password. Click on 'Buy eStamps' located in the left navigation bar under the sub-section Christian Friends. Follow the prompts, selecting the amount of eStamps you wish to purchase and your credit card details. When you click on 'Process credit card' your eStamps are automatically issued to your Log In Account and you can start contacting people. Please Note: Your eStamp purchase will appear on your credit card statement under Christians Online. How much are eStamps? We offer several eStamp options, everything to cater from the casual pen pal through to the keen Christian romantic. Unlike other messaging systems on the internet, Christians Online does not put an expiry date on your eStamps. Once purchased, they are yours forever, to use whenever you like (except for the 6 month unlimited package, which obviously expires after 6 months). In addition to all this, when you buy an eStamp, your money goes straight back into the ongoing growth of this web site. Christians Online remains a virtually non-profit site and continues to run on the good will of its operators and revenue generated on the eStamp program. There are a selection of eStamp purchase plans:
You are more than welcome to pay by cheque or money order if you do not have a credit card. Please send your payment with a note containing the following information and we will credit your account with the amount of eStamps you require. Information to send us: Your full name, telephone number, email address, Christian Friends Username and the eStamp package you require (If you do not know your Username, don't worry, we can search our database for you). Please make your cheque or money order payable to 'Christians Online' and send your payment to: Christians Online Level 1, 1 Queens Road Melbourne VIC 3004 I am having difficulty purchasing my eStamps, what should I do? Firstly, please browse through our FAQ's to make sure your problem is not addressed there. If it is not, please email techsupport@christiansonline.com.au with the details of your problem. If your screen is displaying an error message, please copy and paste the message into the email to enable us to fix the problem. CONTACTING PEOPLE How do I contact someone? Go to www.christiansonline.com.au and log in using your Log In and Password. Go to the profile of the person you wish to contact. Scroll down to the end of their profile and click on the 'Contact this person' button. Write your message and hit send - it's that easy! Please Note: You need an eStamp to contact someone. To purchase some eStamps, click on 'Buy eStamps' located in the left navigation bar and follow the prompts. How do I know if the person I have contacted has received my message? When you send a message, 99% of the time your message will be sent successfully. However, if your message does not get through successfully, you will receive a message from Christians Online and you will not be charged an eStamp. Messages that are not processed successfully are usually due to an incorrect email address entered when the profile you are contacting has been setup. We suggest you try once more, and if it doesn't go through again, try contacting someone else. How do I know if I have a message from someone? You will receive a message from Christians Online to your email address. The message will state that you have a message waiting and there will be a button to click on to retrieve your message. You can reply once, free of charge, by simply following the prompts at the end of your message. If what you're after isn't on this page, then you might want to try our General FAQ. |
